Trifle: A Simple and Delicious Dessert

Trifle is a classic dessert, brimming with flavors and textures that delight anyone who tries it. 

Today, we bring you an easy recipe to prepare a trifle that's perfect for an elegant dinner or simply as a sweet indulgence. trifle que es perfecto para una cena elegante o simplemente como un dulce capricho. 

This recipe serves 4, making it ideal for sharing!


2 cupcakes: sliced horizontally to get 4 rounds.

4 tablespoons of sherry (optional).

Fruit of choice: can be peeled and diced fresh soft fruit, drained canned fruit, or thawed frozen fruit.

1 packet of flavored gelatin: prepared according to the instructions.

Whipped cream

Preparation Method:

1. Base Preparation

Place the cupcake halves at the bottom of 4 small glasses. These will act as the base of your trifle.

2. Adding a Touch of Sherry

Pour 1 tablespoon of sherry over each cupcake. This is optional, but sherry adds a rich flavor and moist texture to the cupcakes.

3. Fruit Layer

Place your chosen fruit on top of the cupcake. Here, you can get creative and choose fruits that you like or that are in season. Fresh fruits like strawberries or a mix of berries are delicious options

4. Gelatin for a Special Touch

 Pour the prepared gelatin into the glasses, over the fruit and cupcakes. The gelatin will add a sweet touch and a unique texture to the dessert.

5. Refrigeration

Place the glasses in the refrigerator to let the gelatin set. This will take at least a few hours.

6. Final Touch with Whipped Cream

Just before serving, top each trifle with a generous amount of whipped cream. This not only looks incredible but also adds a delicious creaminess to the dessert.
